As we reach the end of Week 1 of Series 4 of Escape to the Château DIY, here’s a recap along with links to photos of the lovely creations the Château owners have worked on this week.

Château de la Motte Husson, Pas de la Loire
At the Château de la Motte Husson, Angel gets some able assistance from daughter Dorothy to colour match staircase trim.  She is learning fast from Mum!  More about Chateau de la Motte Husson

Château du Masgelier, Limousin
After 4 months of hard graft Fiona puts the finishing touches to The King’sTower and wow it is ab fab! see photos.  One of the final touches was to refinish a chair with fabric which perfectly complimented the tasteful decor for which Fiona is renowned.  More about Chateau du Masgelier

Château Caillac, Aquitaine
The owners of Château Caillac acquired the property  15 years ago. Each Summer they vacate the premises for holidaymakers to enjoy while they return to their houseboat in the UK.  When they return in Autumn, and as is usual for any Château owner, repairs are a constant so last year they set about renovating the summer kitchen.  Take a look at the finished product.

Château de la Ruche, Pays de la Loire
Tim starts work on an outbuilding to create additional accommodation while Rebecca focuses on preparations for a florist retreat, also in an outbuilding, with guests arriving from all over the world, click for photos
