Great news, that trip to France this Summer might be possible after all!  We all heard the recent news that all passengers flying into the UK would go into quarantine for 14 days.  However this announcement came yesterday from the Express:

“Yesterday, French President Emmanuel Macron and Mr Johnson came to an amiable agreement which means that Britons will not be put in quarantine when they enter France, and French holidaymakers will not be quarantined if they enter the UK.
The two leaders said in a joint statement: “The Prime Minister and the President agreed to work together in taking forward appropriate border measures.
This cooperation is particularly necessary for the management of our common border.
No quarantine measures would apply to travellers coming from France at this stage.
Any measures on either side would be taken in a concerted and reciprocal manner.”

This comes as great news to us and also to companies who rely heavily on tourism such as RyanAir.  This announcement from the BBC yesterday:

“The carrier [RyanAir] plans to reintroduce 40% of flights from 1 July, subject to travel restrictions being lifted and safety measures being brought in at airports.
The airline will operate nearly 1,000 flights a day, bringing back nearly all of its pre-Covid 19 route network.”

Now is the time to start looking again for accommodations and even special event venues in your favourite Chateau.  On our website chateauxescapesfrance.com we list all the ETTC DIY Chateau as well as hundreds of OTHER Chateau which were not seen on the TV Series.  You can view the list(s) on the map or you can search for Escape to the OTHER Chateau by region (list below).

So everyone there is light at the end of the tunnel as long as we all do what we need to do to keep us and the country on the right track.  Stay safe and start planning!
