The Pays de la Loire is best known as being the location of the Château de la Motte Husson, home to Dick and Angel Strawbridge and children Arthur and Dorothy.  It is thanks to Dick and Angel and their Channel 4 series that the current interest lies in intrepid couples taking on the major task of renovating chateaux to their former glory.

We have sourced many unsung heroes which we have coined the “Other Châteaux DIY” bed and breakfast, gite, wedding and special event venues in Pays de la Loire.  Due to their popularity most of the Escape to the Chateau DIY and Chateau DIH which have been featured on Channel 4 are booked well in advance; however there are many choices of beautiful venues.
