All you chateau fans have been watching Channel 4’s new series Chateau DIY : Living the Dream and quite a few of our readers have asked to see some new material versus reruns of previously viewed episodes. So we decided to introduce you to a small 19th chateau in Béziers “Maison Jullian”.
Co-owner, Candy Miller, had an interesting career prior to Maison Jullian. She is a “Franco-Londonian” (love that) with a career in marketing and communication as well as being the creator of the concept store Paperdolls which brought together fashion designers in Montmartre, Paris.
Candy’s love is decoration, fashion and design – what better for a Chateau owner? Why Béziers? Candy’s family history has strong links to the region.
Alongside Candy is Charles Teboul whose great love in life is gourmet cuisine and wine. Charles’ career started under star chef Philippe Renard of the Hotel Scrive, Paris Opéra. He went on to launch and manage restaurants in Paris.
Over the course of 30 years in the hospitality industry, Charles developed his passion for the world of wine as well as being a strong supporter of responsible agriculture and the environment.
Your hosts serve lunch, brunch and tea in their beautiful garden offering mouthwatering items such as octopus salad, eggs mayonnaise, sea bass, farm pork rib, red fruit pavlova!
