With the advent of Channel 4s fabulous series Escape to the Château and the subsequent Château DIY Dick and Angel Strawbridge have become household names and to a lesser degree so have the DIY Château owners.
For those who have not been featured on the series, we would like to introduce you to other château owners, and their beautiful châteaux which you will find all across France. Many of these châteaux are venues for special events, weddings, vow renewals, wedding anniversaries, hen parties, girlie weekends, art retreats, yoga retreats – you name it there’s a château for you!
Here’s an example of an opportunity to spend Christmas in Normandy (easily accessed from the UK ports into either Cherbourg or Caen). The Château de Vaudezert is taking bookings for Christmas and New Year 2019. They are offering a 7 night stay including daily breakfast, catered dinner on 1 evening (of your choice), a tasting menu at a superb local restaurant (including wine) and Christmas dinner / New Year’s Dinner.
