For us the Château de Thuriés was a stand out in Channel 4s most recent Escape to the Château DIY Series 3. Didn’t we all wonder just how Jane was going to successfully paint the mural on the staircase?! The way she achieved the perspective on such a voluminous, uphill slanting and at the same time curving “canvas” is unbelievable. Wow and wow is all you can say at the end result, absolutely stunning. Jayne you are most certainly an ancestor of Michelangelo!
Jayne and Steve have worked tirelessly to renovate the chateau which dates back to 1885. With 25 rooms they had their work cut out for them. On their website you can see some before photos https://www.chateauthuries.com/rennovations.
The Château has 4 completely renovated guest suites and they have plans for a heated swimming pool in 2020. The decor which Jayne and Steve have selected and created is truly Châteauesque, each room is a delight – even the reception area.
Their doors are open to guests and is also offered as a wedding venue. In addition they have some exciting and very interesting events coming up in 2020 which we would like to share:
