I received for Christmas what is personally – without a “château” of a doubt (LOL) the most unique and wonderful gift ever from my thoughtful and loving wife. You may be aware that Lisa and I are the administrators of the Châteaux Escapes France website and Facebook page and that we do love all things château and were inspired to launch the portal after watching the adventures of Dick and Angel Strawbridge on Escape to the Château and Escape to the Château DIY programmes on TV.
Our business focuses on promoting the various events and activities that take place at French châteaux, particularly those featured in the Escape to the Château DIY episodes. Such events and activities are varied and diverse, such as weddings, elopements, retreats, escapes and getaways. Every so often, a very special and unique event happens, as will be the case in the summer of 2020 at what one might describe as the Mother of all Châteaux – Château de Chambord.
I have been blessed by my lovely wife with a Christmas gift of tickets to the Sting concert being held on July 1 at the Château de Chambord! I’m over the moon with excitement and delight – a contemporary music legend on his “My Songs” tour at a magical 16th century fairytale castle, what could be better?
