Imagine the brownie points you’d earn if you treated your Mum, Grandmother, or Wife to a four course Sunday lunch and an overnight stay with breakfast at the lovely Château de Vaudezert in Juvigny-sous-Andaine, Normandy!
Check in to the Château on Sunday March 22nd and the lovely owner Karen and her wonderful sous chef Clothilde will prepare a four course Sunday lunch with choice of either rib of beef or fish. After what I can promise you (from personal experience) will be an absolutely fabulous meal, you can stroll the gardens or enjoy a few drinks at the cozy bar. No worries about drink driving, you’ll be overnight guests at the Château in one of the lovely suites:
- The Charbonnel Suite : This suite has taken its name from the previous owner. It offers a king-size bedroom with two single rooms off. Full ensuite bathroom with a roll-top bath and a separate shower.
- The Madeleine Suite : This suite is named after the cook who worked here when the Château was used as a holiday centre for children. The lovely lady still lives just down the road. It too offers a king-size bed with two single rooms off plus a full bathroom.
- The Pierre Suite : During the Second World War Pierre lived in our gate house with his family. The current Château owners were lucky enough to meet Pierre and find out a little of his fondly remembered life in Vaudezert. This suite has a king-size bed with one single room off, there is also a futon bed/space for a cot. Again a full ensuite bathroom suite.
- Julie’s Room : This room is named after the daughter of the previous owner who loved this particular room. Suitable for 2 guests, this is not ensuite but offers a private shower room adjacent.
When you get up refreshed on Monday morning after a wonderful sleep you’ll be greeted with a sumptuous breakfast.
The all inclusive package is offered for just £240 per couple. If you want to come with your Mum additional guests in the shared ensuites are £60 per person. Book early as this event is exclusive and limited to the 4 suites above.
Château de Vaudezert is located close to Juvigny-sous-Andaine in Normandy and just 11 mins from the beautiful spa town of Bagnoles de l’Orne and 13 mins from the medieval town of Domfront perfect for local sightseeing.
